About Us

Grange Farm & Dunmow Runners has been formed from the amalgamation of two previous clubs in the Felsted and Dunmow area, namely Dunmow Runners and Grange Farm Trotters. Dunmow Runners were formed in 198? And Grange Farm Trotters in 1996. We have a membership of between 80 to 100 members with a complete range of abilities from the recreational runner to those that love to compete.

Results for September

23 runners and 5 halt and lame turned up for the last of the summer 5 mile handicaps.  The presence of the halt and lame meant that a very social time was had whilst waiting for all the runners to return!!  On an ideal evening for running we again had a number of PBs, Dave Andrews has now overtaken Anita in the year's rankings and moved into 5th spot and turned a 10 second deficit into a 30 second advantage - look forward to seeing how this plays out on the shorter winter handicap course.  Other PBs were set by Geoff Maidment, Sean (who sensibly didn't try to run with Anita this month!), Jo B-S and Lesley.  John and Hayley Smith also set PBs with Hayley reduce the differential between herself and husband John from almost a minute to a mere 13 seconds now - well done both of you - clearly John will have to keep looking over his shoulder if that sort of improvement continues.

Well that is the last of the 5 milers for this year and it is back to the 2.4 (ish) mile winter handicap next month so you had all better practise your high speed running around the lit streets of Dunmow in preparation and of course the timekeepers will need to prepare for the increased stress levels caused by the gaps between the finishers being measured in split seconds.

Thanks to those who helped this month and hopefully I will see you all running next week.

Club Championship

The 2010/11 season's Club Championship is now well underway with 3 rounds completed. It's proving difficult for the majority to get to every race and to date only 12 runners have managed to complete all three rounds. Expect a lot of changes from now until May 1st 2011, but this is how the honours are shaping up at this early stage.
