If you get a new PB....

You can post it here.

After many, many years absence from running, I had a moment of pure insanity tonight ... I put on my running shoes and got out and about with my dog. I managed 2.84 miles (around the winter time lap in Dunmow) in ... wait for it ...

33 mins 17 secs!!!

Only slighter faster than a hedgehog BUT the first time that I've attempted that sort of distance in 10 years or more and I didn't stop (honest). I'm so pleased.

I'm a runner again!

Gary laugh

Hi Gary,

Well done for getting those running shoes out from the back of the cupboard - the smell of mothballs must have been almost overpowering!!!  Not sure where you started your measurement or time but sadly the course is only about 2.4 miles so guess you must have measured from your house which explains the time with that uphill finish.

Hope to see you out on a Wednesday night with the rest of us and you can join Richard and me in the "Not so fast" group which is great fun and can be quite sociable.

Paul

hi there. just done my first Essex 20 , and got a time of 2 hours & 24mins. that would still class as a P.B,wouldnt it?

No. I'm sorry Ash that's far too fast.

We'll have to exclude that one on the basis of JEALOUSY....!!  laugh

Got a new half marathon PB smiley

1h 41m 41s at Colchester HM last Sunday.

well....... i guess you'll have to include a new section on the website. (Aswell as the NEW PB's section), called the 'TOO FAST FOR A P.B' section then!! How about that?!  laugh

Hey! Another p.b for you! I got 1hr and 57mins for a 15mile race(benfleet 15). Is that too fast aswell? LOL!!

LOL!!! Ahhh! I thought it might have been. Another new section for you to put on.....'TO DAMN SLOW FOR A P.B' LOL!!!!

Hi Lee,

Great race - really enjoyed it (apart from the last hill !!)

Well done to everyone else who turned up, especially Ian Baines. 1;37:30 something.... Excellent  smiley

I have taken over keeping these records up to date - Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I think I have captured all your achievements but being only a mere mortal have probably missed something, if so just post the details and I will make the necessary changes.

Paul

Sorry Paul but I think I've got a bit of work for you!!  I don't seem to appear on the list although I've been a member since 2011.  My PBs are:

5 mile - 29:58  Howe Street 8/6/12

10k - 37:25 Hatfield Broad Oak 4/6/12

Half Marathon - 1:22:49 Pleshey 23/9/12

Marathon - 3:05:51 Barcelona Marathon 25/3/12

Apologies for submitting them all at once but I've only just discovered they were recorded on the web site.

Thanks

Kevin Marshall

Thanks for the update Kevin and sorry that you were missed 1st time around.  Will add your PBs which are all very impressive.

Anyway good to see that someone has read what I had written and also checked the data.  Either everything else is correct or nobody is looking!!!!!

Paul

This is one going back to March this year - Essex 20 3.14.28.  May not be a great time, but it's the best time I have for a 20 so far.  Come to think of it, probably the only time I will get for a 20 so it will always be a PB.

Great work Paul at keeping this up to date!

Another PB for me.  Mablethorpe Half Marathon today 1.54.49 all thanks to my 2 Mr Motivators, otherwise known as hubby and Ian Baines - Thank you guys for keeping me going for the last 3 miles. And a special thank you to our supporters, Amanda, Daniel and Adam who had the special job of holding the jellybabies.

Hi Paul,

Can you record a PB for my 10mile (from Tiptree 28 Oct 12) of 63m 51s.

Cheers

Kevin Marshall

New P.B for me from stebbing 10 :)

 Whoohoo!

Have updated the PB and rankings file and hopefully now up to date but if you think I have missed something do let me know and give details of your time, race and distance.
