Dear All,
I hope you are all well and injury free.

Please can ask for all those who are interested in running the race to contact me as soon as possible as I am hoping to put together our teams a couple of weeks prior to the race. This will allow ample time for those who haven't raced their route before to trial it. If you have a preferred leg please let me know and I shall try to accommodate your request as best I can. As an added incentive, 30 club championship points will be awarded to all those who participate.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me and I look forward to receiving all of your responses.
Best regards
Dan Reynolds

Hi Dan,
Leg 4 is my fave if possible
.
If you are stuck I will try to fit in on other legs if needed
Hi Dan,
You know my preferences ..
Leg 2 for me.
Thanks
Leg 3 for me if possibe please
Cheers Dan
Hi Dan,
Trying again! - Think I have already given you my choice which is a short one!! At current level of fitness probably 5 or so miles is max but if desperate could manage a few more albbeit at somewhat reduced pace.
Paul
Please can you reveal the teams so far so that we can make arrangements for reconnaissance runs and transport on the day.
All who wish to take part have had plenty of time to make their preferences known.
Regards
John
Dan,
Injured Achilles tendon about 10 days ago and tried it out on Wednesday but still not good so at moment unsure if I will be able to run the Essex Way. Will keep you posted on progress but be prepared for me not to be able to run.
Paul
Hi Dan
Any news on who is down to do which legs?
Cheers
Lee
Hi All,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you with teams. I have a few more phone calls to make and I am hoping to have put together the teams at some point next week. That way people will have around two weeks to trial their routes.
Thanks
Dan
Hi Dan,
Sorry to spoil the plans but at the moment I have got to pull out of the essex way as I have other commitments.

Hi Dan,
As I feared, after last night my Achilles is sore again despite trying to take it easy so I am sorry to say will have to drop out of any leg you had me down for on the Essex Way relay.
Saying that sure my absence will not be a great loss at current level of fitness!!
Hope you can find enough people to make up the teams else you will have to do a couple of legs yourself!!!!!!

Who is doing each leg for the ladies team(s)? Is there a mixed team?
Regards

Hi lee they must make some mixed team up or they won't get there 30 pts for doing. Or it will only be the fast runners or elite getting the points I think that was the idea of the points system to get them to participate

Jane Pomfret has had to drop out as she is suffering with Plantar Fasciitis ... My brilliant son, Rory has stepped up to the plate and is running with me instead.
A massive well done to all our GFDR runners that took part in the Essex Way Relay today! we have had some good results and await the final scores!!!

Anyone out there know how we got on?
The Administrator (Graeme from Harwich Runners) has posted that he is "really busy at work so maybe the weekend before I get to a computer".
Why can't he ask someone else to post the results?
Probably not that bright because he doesn't run for grangefarm as you say give the results with somebody else with computers perhaps they should run the event the other way and will get more people supporting at the end at Epping instead of Harwich it would freshen it up a bit well done to every one who did it because was humid all day take care gavin
