Timed lap - 1 August

13 members ran the full 5 mile timed lap and a further 3 a slightly shorter course due to injury/lack of fitness.

No new PBs but a whole handful of season bests with Nick Perry and Lesley B the stand out pair, both taking about 2 minutes off their previous 2012 times - well done.

We also had 2 newcomers to the course, welcome Simon Woolley and Neal Rayner. Simon posted a very creditable time for his first trip around our undulating course. Hopefully we will be seeing a lot more of both of them in future weeks and months.

Finally James Hawkes, who managed to get lost (well, took a wrong turning) last time - definite improvement on the navigation skills and a good time to boot - Well done.

You can find the full results by clicking on the Timed Lap tab under the heading "How am I doing" on the bottom right hand side of the screen.

Thanks to Sarah for helping with the timing. Any comments/corrections please let me know.

Timed lap - 5th September

Sadly only 10 members were able to run the last of the Summer 5 mile handicaps.  Bearing in mind how the evenings are drawing in it is a wonder that we got 10 back!!  It was good to welcome Jason Wintin who ran a very creditable time on an unknown course and probably finished in the dark!

As you will probably have gathered once again I was absent from time keeping duties so this was again left to Sarah, to whom many thanks, so it is difficult to say much on the individual performances.  However congratulations to Nick who achieved a season's best as did Neil but Sarah also tells me Neil ran back to front (not sure if he ran backwards or ran the course in reverse?!!).  Anyway either way a season's best and if he ran the course in reverse a PB for that direction - maybe we should all try the course in reverse and compare times or at least all get PB's!!

You can see the results by clicking on the Timed Lap heading at bottom right of the screen.  Any questions/queries on the results please post a reply to this message and I will try and help.

Next month back to the shorter Winter timed lap.  See you al there.
