Halstead marathon

The Halstead marathon will be on 13 May.

For the past two years the club has manned a waterstation at the event.  As thanks, Halstead ruinning club has given us £100 for our charity of the year.  We have been asked if we can help again this year.

The waterstation is located near the end of the first lap and about 2 miles from the finish - a good location to support our runners.  We need about 10 people - please reply below if you will be able to help.

Thanks

John

Hi John, I'm pretty sure Si and me will be able to help, if you want to put us on the helpers list.  It was quite a laugh last time!

Charlotte.

Thanks Charlotte - details posted on the ROAD section under Halstead Marathon

I will leave the hooter/horn at the gym for some kind soul to collect as I know the water station wouldn't be the same without it wink

YAYYY!!  Well pleased with today. Made it the whole way round(and in one piece) and (according to my garmin, official results not in yet.) i got a time of 3Hrs & 32Mins. and i didnt have any problems at all about hitting 'that dreaded wall). Now after a well deserved hot soak in the bath, its recovery time now. mind you , i feel fine at the moment!(YER! WONT BE SAYING COME TOMOROW MORNING) when the aches and pains appear. All in all. Well pleased!! smiley

Well done to all,  some great times there and as Ash says a special well done to Rachel. I had a text from Dan saying that unfortunately he had to pull out at 23 miles. Sorry to hear that Dan, I know the feeling, but just dust yourself down and nail it next time.

Amazing time Rachel!! Your first marathon and a tough one!

So sad you are leaving us. Can we have you back for special guest appearances?
