Hatfield Broad Oak 2007

On Bank Holiday Monday was the annual Hatfield Broad Oak 10k race which is the first race in our club championship series. A fantastic turnout of 40 runners from the club took part in wet and windy conditions. In the Ladies race, Pru Hayhow was back on good form to claim maximum points from Anita Cox (2nd).  Tina Hull (3rd) had a race to the line with Wendy Staines with Tina just getting 3rd position in the club. Emma Copeman, who had a storming run at The Halstead Marathon continued her strong form by overtaking Jules Reeves with less than 50 metres to go to claim 4th club position.

In the Men's race, it was good to see Will Tamlyn back running with the club and improving from race to race. Will ran 35.43 claiming 22nd place overall and maximum points in the club championship. Mark Eden's form continued to improve with another PB of 36.25 giving him 2nd place in the championship. Next in was Nick Laughton and Richard Humphrey.
